IScape
Ive just purchased this app for my iPhone but immediately saw the app was more suited to the iPad. Id suggest going to the developers support site and watch the video on how to use the app as there doesnt seem to be any info about how the app works.
After seeing the how-to video, its quite simple to add a variety of materials and plants to your photos to visualize what your landscape might look like. The database is limited now, but the developer intends to keep adding more images which will make the app even more useful.
You have to be knowledgable about which plants grow in your neck of the woods. Palm trees dont thrive in the Saskatchewan prairies to my knowledge.
A larger image database obviously would improve the app. However, for basic landscaping needs, its a simple tool that can get you started to visualize various changes to your landscape. Its fun to see "what if" but Id do a bit of research on suitable plants and available landscaping materials in my area before Id get to work to make my own "oasis" come to life.
